Manuel Marino, musician and music producer, was born in Palermo to a Sicilian dad and a northern Italian mom, and at age 14 he started studying acoustic guitar, using instruments by big names such as Stefan Grossman and John Renburn. Manuel went on to study solfeggio and electric jazz guitar, then piano melody and harmony, while doing philosophical and political studies at college and university.

Manuel set up Marino Sounds in 2002, and to date his studio has done more than 30 soundtracks for videogames and television, including Universal Combat (for Dreamcatcher Interactive), Nuclear Nightmare: Rise of the Fallen and La Polizia Indaga (an Italian police adventure). “Working with Manuel is really an amazing experience, his musical and sound ideas are always very good and they give more realism to the videos and games. After working with him all these years, it’s impossible to think about a multimedia project without calling him,” says Alessio Falsetti, who worked with him on La Polizia Indaga.

Manuel’s hobbies include new technology, writing and reading, audio hifi, board games, photography, video games, consoles, fantasy and sci-fi movies. He speaks Italian, English and Spanish. His dream is to compose and produce a music soundtrack for an important Hollywood movie and to set up a game development team.
