Michael Dyer is a singer/songwriter who writes mellow rock, folk-rock and soft blues songs. Over the years he built up a portfolio of songs and in 2007 he produced 3 CDs: Nothing Seems Like What It Seems, Our Unwinding Time and Aboriginal Angel. In 2008, he has produced 2 additional CDs: Compli-intricated Life and Butterfly's Release. His songs tend to be about love and relationships and commonly contain dual lead guitar riffs, sophisticated finger-picking, haunting keyboards, well-defined bass/percussion and appealing vocals/harmonies.
Michael Dyer builds up each song by performing each instrument one at a time. He plays acoustic, steel and electric guitar (using flamenco-picado, finger-picking and bottleneck techniques), keyboards, bass guitar, harmonica and didgeridoo. He produces percussion via drum loops and/or by playing synthesized percussion via keyboard.

This song is about searching for both self-realization and love (both mystical and physical). Parts are sung in the style of a 'round' except that, in this case, each part of the 'round' is sung in a different speed.,

This mystical folk-rock song is about chaos at the time of a future apocalypse and many people are following false religious leaders. The protagonist is seeking both love and self-realization.,

This song is about a woman, in medieval times, waiting anxiously for her warrior-lover to return from battle. She's waiting among some moss-covered boulders, looking for the dust that might be kicked up by his stallion.,

This song was inspired by the song "Wonderful Life (Don't know much about history...)" that was made into a hit by Herman's Hermits in 1965. In my song the singer is not much of a dancer, poet, bread-winner, speaker, or painter but he still thinks he can still romance the woman he loves.,
