DESCRIPTION: Lounge Jazz is a style of Jazz that grew up to cater for those who were "more sophisticated" than the then pop scene catered for, but were less demanding than the mainstream jazz scene. This particular form of Lounge music, also known alternately as Exotica, Space-Age Pop, and Cabaret Jazz is a departure from the original "Lounge music" concept, and tends to be somewhat free-wheeling and Bohemian in nature with many influences from the international music scene.
