A homeless man living on the street A hungry child with no food to eat A woman with no shoes on her feet While we trim the Christmas tree

People crying out for help But we’re too busy thinking about ourselves To take the time to lend a hand And help our fellow man

We’ve got to do something So, let’s reach into our hearts Show the world how much we care Spreading love throughout the world Not just at Christmas, But all year

A child who is battered and abused No one can see where he is bruised We’re at home singing Silent Night While so many children cry

So many sad stories to be told Only we can change the world It's up to you and I Why don’t we give it a try?
